This town of 30,000 people has some stark German influence in architecture and even names of clubs and bars. On the shore of the Lago Llanquihue, it exudes a charm of its own, with a high quality of life well visible through the people, their style, the cars they drive and the general feel in the town centre.
We stayed two nights but today was the first chance for a daytime walk around town. We will be on our way to Valparaiso by midday. Without much commentary here are a few sights of the town that should paint the picture of what it is all about.

We should be reaching Valparaiso via Santiago airport by 5.30pm today and hope to catch some views of the city in the low light off the setting sun. I am excited as there is definite promise for a photographer in Valparaiso.
